Whitley’s Collaborates with Local Businesses to Promote Store Opening
Whitley’s Peanut Factory will open its third retail location in Glen Allen, Va., on Oct.23.
Located northwest of Richmond, new Whitley’s store has teamed up with three local businesses for collaborations throughout the month of October:
- Gelati Celesti will offer an exclusive Whitley’s Salted Peanut ice cream in all five of its locations during the week of October 9 - 16.
- Frozen treats shop King of Pops will host a Pops & Peanuts tasting on the Pop Patio from 12:00 to 7:00 pm on October 7th. Guests can have various King of Pops frozen treats dipped in chocolate and rolled in assorted flavors of Whitley’s Peanuts.
- Local restaurant The Savory Grain has added three menu items highlighting Whitley’s peanuts for the entire month of October, including a Crushed Whitley’s Virginia Super Extra Large Peanut-Crusted Cajun Catfish entree, served with Surry sausage dirty rice and stir fried okra and tomatoes with lemon dill aioli.
The new Richmond store will be open seven days a week, with extended hours during the holidays. Next month Whitley’s will host a grand opening celebration that will include store tours, giveaways, and family activities.
