Tony’s Market to Open Inside Food Hall
Tony’s Meats & Market is relocating its downtown Denver location.
The 15,000 square foot store, located on Broadway, closed on Dec. 31. The new smaller location will open this spring inside Happy Canyon Wine & Market, a 42,000-square-foot food hall.
At 3,000-4,000 square feet, the new Tony’s location will leverage the best of Tony’s with complementary businesses under one roof, offering consumers a collaborative shopping experience. The team at Tony’s has been studying customer wants and needs for quite some time, and the move will allow them to serve their customers on a whole new level, said Daniel J. Rosacci, president & CEO.
Tony’s Meats & Market, which first opened its doors in 1978, will focus its Happy Canyon location on its core strength: specialty meat. “Ninety percent of what will be sold there will be meat. We are meat people. The meat we sell is far superior to most places you can go,” Rosacci said in an interview with the Denver Post.
Tony’s Meats & Market, based in Centennial, Colo., is a locally owned specialty butcher shop and market with four locations in the Denver Metro area. The company has more than 190 employees.
