Sanders Celebrates Grand Re-opening
Sanders will celebrate the grand re-opening of its new remodeled chocolate and ice cream shop in Clinton Township, Mich., on Oct. 14. Renovations expanded the store’s footprint by 30 percent and added additional indoor and outdoor seating.
“We’ve put a lot of thought into loading the store with features to create memories that will last a lifetime,” said Brian Jefferson, chairman and CEO. “We want visitors to feel compelled to stay a while when they come to the store.”
The remodeled retail space includes two waterfalls of real chocolate, a fully visible bakery where shoppers can watch products being prepared and marble countertops that are remeniscient of the classic fountain counters of Sanders from the 1900s.
The reimagined store is located inside the Sanders and Morley Candy Makers corporate offices. Grand reopening festivities will include a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. along with an appearance by the Detroit Lions mascot, Roary the Lion. Giveaways, in-store specials, free samples, free hot dogs and a variety of activities will be offered throughout the day.
