Pamela’s Introduces Gluten-Free Pasta
Pamela’s Products launched a new line of gluten-free pasta and pasta meals. Best known for its top-selling gluten-free baking mixes and ready-to-eat snacks, Pamela’s is bringing consumers what they’ve been asking for: a selection of delicious gluten-free pastas that are just as good—or even better—than the traditional pastas from their childhoods.
“As we round the corner towards 30 years in business, we continue to see opportunities to grow into new categories while maintaining our focus on great-tasting gluten-free foods made with clean ingredients,” states Pamela Giusto-Sorrells, founder of Pamela’s Products. “Pasta is a personal passion of mine because of my Italian heritage. There are other gluten-free pastas on the market, but we’re confident ours has exceptional taste and texture with the added bonus of plant-based protein.”
The pasta is made with white rice flour and sprouted brown rice flour, both sourced from Non-GMO Verified crops. The USDA-certified organic dried pastas offer plant-based protein from peas, and provides 8 grams of protein per 2-ounce serving. The four varieties – Penne, Rotini, Elbows and Spaghetti – have a SRP of $4.29 per 8-ounce box.
The company also now offers gluten-free pasta meals featuring organic pasta paired with flavorful sauce packs. Mac N’ Cheese, Spicy Mac N’ Cheese, Creamy Alfredo and Creamy Mushroom – all made with 100 percent real cheese -- provide a 13 grams of pea protein per 2 oz. serving, with a SRP of $4.79 per 5-ounce box.
