New England Made Announces 2017 Winners

The New England Made Giftware and Specialty Food Show (NEM) announced the winners of the 2017 Best New Products awards on March 19 in Portland, Maine. Winners were selected by retailers attending the show who voted for their top choice and receive cash awards or credit towards booth space at future show.

The spring 2017 New Product Specialty Food winners are Maple Cheese Pairing Collection from Runamok Maple in Cambridge, Vt., winning first place, in second place was Sunrise Tea from Zen Bear Honey Tea in Brunswick, Maine and receiving honorable mention was Mint Chocolate Chip Filled Chocolates from Safe Harbor Confections in Waldoboro, Maine.

The Maple Cheese Pairing Collection is a bourbon barrel-aged, hibiscus flower infused, elderberry infused and pecan wood smoked collection and perfect for pairing with hard cheeses like cheddar or Gouda. It is part of Runamok Maple’s collection of infused, smoke and barrel-aged maple syrups.
