Natural Grocers Expands in Montana
Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage is opening in Kalispell, Mont., on April 23. Located on US Highway 93, Kalispell will be the company's fourth natural food store in the state.
The Denver-based Natural Grocers, which operates 65 stores in 13 states, offers only natural and organic products: USDA-certified organic produce, meats from animals raised naturally without the use of antibiotics or hormones, as well as other organic and natural groceries free of artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners and hydrogenated oils. Natural Grocers stocks local products and accepts product submission forms via its website.
"Montana has been a wonderful and welcoming market to Natural Grocers," said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers Co-President. "Across the state, our shoppers continue to look for affordable options to help their families be healthy. We're excited to open our doors and get involved in Kalispell."
The new Kalispell store was built using green features such as energy-efficient motion light sensors, 100 percent post-consumer content tiles, high efficiency heat-exchange systems, polished concrete flooring and commercial-grade LED lights. The store includes a community room with free Wi-Fi where customers can enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea. All of the Natural Grocers stores are 100 percent free of disposable shopping bags.
Every Natural Grocers supports a full-time, credentialed Nutritional Health Coach. All of the Natural Grocers locations offer free nutritional health coaching - from individualized sessions, to meal planning, to general questions about nutrition and health.
The Kalispell location will be celebrating its grand opening April 23-28 with sampling events and giveaways.
Last year, Natural Grocers opened in Billings, Missoula and Helena.
