Luxury Farms Shutters Doors
Luxury Farms, the Coronado, Calif.-based retailer known for its unique gourmet concept store, shuttered its doors on Jan. 31.
According to an article in the Coronado (Calif.) Eagle Journal, Luxury Farms was the brainchild of Melissa Scott Clark and Gina Champion-Cain. The store served coffee and coffee-based drinks and also stocked gourmet pantry items, kitchen tools and food prep items, housewares, pet products and gift baskets.
Scott Clark told the Eagle Journal that the “closing came as a shock,” adding that she was not involved in the day-to-day operations.
The retailer’s Facebook page and website have been deactivated.
San Diego Magazine named Luxury Farms one of the top 10 shopping destinations in the area in its April 2016 issue, and Where Traveler magazine named it "the ultimate foodie specialty shop."
