Dorothy Lane Market Launches Pizza App
Dorothy Lane Market (DLM) olaunched its online ordering app for its NaplesStyle Pizza Station, a big step for the locally-owned and operated grocer to stay competitive in the fast-casual dining space.
The app, which is compatible with iPhone and Android devices, is available via the app store and offers a convenient way for customers to place an order for dine in or carryout from the DLM’s Naples-Style Pizza Station, which is currently located at DLM Washington Square and DLM Springboro only. The Dayton, Ohio-based gourmet grocer operates three stores.
Ultimately, DLM’s goal is to always better serve our customers, and in this case, that means making it easier for them to enjoy what we believe is a truly unique pizza,” said Jason Belcher, DLM’s Naples-Style pizza and kitchen director.
App Updates in the Works
“In the coming months, we hope to add to the app’s functionality with updates that’ll also allow users to place orders for Jack’s Grill and the Sandwich Station,” said Hang Chen, DLM lead developer, whose goal while designing the app was to keep the user experience front and center.
App users can choose from a running list of menu items, such as favorites The Carnivore and Tourist Pepperoni or the very traditional Naples-Style Margherita. Once a selection is made, users can customize ingredients as desired. They can then select either carryout or a dine-in option, which will be especially convenient for customers attending any of the DLM wine or beer tastings to place an order to have a pizza brought to them. The app also will allow patrons to Springboro-based Crooked Handle Brewing Co., which is located in the same shopping center as DLM Springboro, to have hot, made-to-order pizza brought to them directly from DLM to the establishment.
