Crave Brothers Wins Wis. State Fair Awards
Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese’s latest batch of awards comes from the 2017 Wisconsin State Fair Cheese and Butter Contest. The dairy’s Classics Mascarpone won first place in the Soft Spreadable Cheese Category. Fresh Mozzarella came in second in the Mozzarella Category and Marinated Fresh Mozzarella also came in second in the Flavored Soft Cheese Category.
Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Mascarpone is made from fresh, sweet cream. Its rich flavor and luxurious texture make it a natural for pairing with fresh summer berries, lemony or chocolate desserts, and sparkling wine. Crave Brothers Fresh Mozzarella is a versatile cheese available in a variety of forms, including medallions, 8 oz. and 1lb. balls, 1 lb. logs, containers of small mozzarella balls in four sizes, and in curd form. Crave Brothers Marinated Fresh Mozzarella comes in a ciliegine shape (cherry-sized balls), marinated in an olive oil/canola oil blend with a signature spice mix.
Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Cheeses are made with mild from the Crave family’s herd in a cheese-making facility that uses 100 percent green power, and practices water conservation and recycling. The farm raises soybeans, corn and alfalfa to use as feed for its Holstein cows, whose milk is used to produce all of the dairy’s Mascarpone, Fresh Mozzarella, Part-skim Mozzarella, Oaxaca, Cheddar curds and Jalapeno Cheddar curds.
