Best Cheese Corp. Acquires Coach Farm

June 26, 2008

Best Cheese Corporation has acquired Coach Farm of Pine Plains, NY. Already a successful importer of specialty cheese from Europe, Best Cheese will expand into domestic production by taking over the well known Coach Farm brand.

“The market for high quality, artisanal goat cheese continues to grow and we are excited to be investing in the thriving Coach Farm brand,” said Henk Engelkes, President & CEO of Best Cheese Corporation.

Best Cheese hopes to improve Coach’s distribution to both the retail and foodservice sectors, as well as explore Coach’s well developed distribution to restaurants for its own brands.

Coach Farm is a leader in producing authentic, artisanal goat cheese.
Its premium fresh and aged cheeses enjoy an important presence in upscale specialty stores and restaurants. Over the past 20 years Coach Farm cheeses have won several awards and developed a loyal following for their quality, flavor and traditional production methods. Coach Farm’s Triple Cream Wheel won Best in Class at the 2008 World Championship Cheese Contest.

Best Cheese Corporation imports distinct specialty cheeses from Holland including brands such as Parrano, Legendairy, Uniekaas Reserve, and Vintage Aged Gouda. Retailers such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Safeway, Albertson’s and Kroger offer Best Cheese products.
